Erasmus+: 2021-2027: first call approved

After a long wait, the European Commission has finally approved the first 2021 call of the new Erasmus plus programme 2021-2027, together with annual work programme and a new programme guide.

The European programme for education, training, youth and sport, is open to all public and private bodies active in the field of education, training, youth and sport, in 27 member states of EU, in EFTA/SEE Countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) and EU candidate Countries (Turkey, Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia). Some of the key actions are also open to organisations of non-associated third Countries.

This call is divided in 3 key actions, of which each one has different measures in the field of education, training, youth and sport:

  1. Key Action 1 – Learning mobility of individuals

Mobility of individuals in the fields of education, training and youth (deadline:11th of May 2021 for education and training sectors; 5th of October 2021 added deadline for youth sector)

Participation activities of young people

2. Key Action 2 – Cooperation between organisations and institutions

Partnerships’ cooperation:

  • Partnerships’ cooperation (deadline: 20th of May 2021)
  • Partnerships of small scale (deadline: 20th of May and 3rd of November 2021)

Partnerships for excellence:

  • Excellence professional centres (deadline: 7th of September 2021)
  • Academies of Erasmus+ teachers (deadline: 7th of September 2021)
  • Erasmus Mundus Action (deadline: 26th of May 2021)

Partnerships for innovation:

  • Innovation Alliances (deadline: 7th September 2021)
  • Not-for-profit European sport events Alliances (deadline: 26th of May 2021)

3. Key Action 3 – Support for policy reform and cooperation

  • Young European Union (deadline: 24th of June 2021)

4. Jean Monnet Actions: open to associations from all over the world:

  • Jean Monnet in the field of high education (deadline: 2nd of June 2021)
  • Jean Monnet in other fields on education and training (deadline: 2nd of June 2021)

The whole budget is €2.453.500.000, of which:

  • €2.153.100.000 in the field of education and training;
  • €244.700.000 in the field of Youth;
  • €41.700.000 in sport field;
  • €14.000.000 for Jean Monnet
