The Erasmus+ KA2 DiTwin project reaches its final phase with Pilot Testing

The Erasmus+ KA2 DiTwin project, of which our Irish agency Training Vision is a partner, has reached a crucial milestone with the completion of its final development stage: the Pilot Testing phase. This phase represented an essential step in validating the project’s outcomes and ensuring their effectiveness before the official conclusion of the project.

The Pilot Testing was addressed to project partners and all stakeholders involved in testing the DiTwin results. It was designed as a small-scale study aimed at assessing whether the DiTwin Modules and the DiTwin Handbook successfully meet the project’s objectives and respond to the needs of their intended users.

The testing activities were carried out in all partner countries and followed a shared methodology to guarantee consistency and reliability across contexts. One of the key components of this phase was the organisation of online pilot sessions involving physical laboratories, allowing participants to interact remotely with real lab environments. In particular, the pilot included online sessions connected with the physical laboratories of the University of Málaga and Digital Smart, providing a concrete demonstration of the DiTwin approach and its practical applications.

The Pilot Testing process was closely monitored and evaluated using common tools and procedures developed specifically for this phase.
Observations, feedback, and suggestions collected during the Pilot Testing were summarised in reports prepared by each partner organisation. This collaborative evaluation process ensured that insights from different national and institutional perspectives were taken into account.

Based on the results of the Pilot Testing, the DiTwin Modules and Handbook have been further refined and improved, strengthening the overall quality and impact of the project’s outputs.

As the DiTwin project approaches its imminent conclusion, this final phase highlights the strong cooperation among partners and the commitment to delivering high-quality, tested, and validated results. The Pilot Testing has not only confirmed the relevance of the project outcomes but has also laid the groundwork for their future use, sustainability, and dissemination beyond the project’s lifetime.
