Partner Meeting at Tribeka Training Lab: Advancing AI in Apprenticeship Mentoring

Tribeka training lab recently kicked off, as partner, a new ErasmusPlus KA220Vet Project with title: ’AI in Apprenticeship Mentoring’ (project Number:2024-1-BG01-KA220-VET-000247196 Co-Funded by European Union).

Project Partners recently convened at the Tribeka Training Lab in Spain to discuss the project. With representatives from Bulgaria, Spain, and Belgium, the meeting highlighted the collaborative effort driving this innovative initiative to transform work-based learning (WBL) in vocational education and training (VET) systems across Europe.

This KA2 cooperation project, funded under ErasmusPlus program is coordinated by the Bulgarian Industrial Association (Bulgaria), with contributions from the Modern Education Foundation (Bulgaria), Tribeka Training Lab (Spain), New Mindset Coaching and Training (Belgium), and CuratedAI (Belgium).

The meeting focused on the project’s primary goal: developing an AI-based mentoring framework to enhance the capabilities of WBL mentors and prepare apprentices for the challenges of Industry 4.0. Discussions revolved around the integration of AI tools and digital competencies, aiming to empower mentors to better guide apprentices in acquiring the essential digital and professional skills demanded by the modern labor market.

The partners exchanged insights on how the framework will address the project’s objectives, including:

  • Reducing skills mismatches and bridging gaps in workforce readiness.
  • Equipping VET mentors with advanced tools to deliver high-quality, tech-enhanced guidance.
  • Supporting apprentices in transitioning from education to employment by aligning training with labor market needs.

Meeting at Tribeka Training Lab provided a platform for brainstorming and aligning efforts on resource development, training material design, and strategies for embedding AI into the mentoring framework. The discussions highlighted the importance of creating scalable and impactful mentoring practices that can be adopted across Europe, ensuring sustainable growth in a digitally skilled workforce.
